County staff updated commissioners on an emergency repair to a rail spur after Union Pacific inspectors intervened and temporarily locked the line. Staff reported Capital Railroad Contracting responded quickly, completed repairs after an initial mobilization and a follow-up visit to secure flaggers and finish the job, and restored operations. “They came in within 2 days, got there, started,” staff said in describing the company’s response.
