Cherokee County road supervisor recommends buying asphalt paver after SE Messer repairs

Road and Bridge Supervisor Cody Zook told commissioners crews "started work on SE Messer last week," reported about $30,000 in district 2 asphalt bills so far, and recommended using remaining asphalt funds to purchase an asphalt paver to improve safety and efficiency.

Road and Bridge Supervisor Cody Zook updated the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 30, 2024, saying crews have completed recent asphalt work and "they started work on SE Messer last week." He told the board two mowers are out of service—"there are still 2 mowers down"—and mechanics are waiting on parts.
