Elementary students describe hands-on STEAM class; principal reports $8,000 fall fundraiser
Elementary students presented projects from a new K–6 STEAM special and praised teacher Miss Hayes for hands-on learning. The elementary principal said the fall fundraiser raised about $8,000 for principal-account activities and announced upcoming events including holiday concerts and a visiting author.

Elementary principal Julie introduced students who spoke about the new STEAM special for kindergarten through sixth grade and invited them to share their projects. A student said simply, "STEAM is a great special," and described creating a vending-machine project; other students described sewing and carpentry projects and how the class encouraged creativity.
