A parent and longtime attendee of board meetings urged the Waterloo Board of Education to reconsider a policy that she said prevents community members from addressing board members directly during meetings. She described PTO activities and volunteer support before saying, "I respectfully request the board reconsider this policy, or at the very least, consider scheduling open forum meetings on a regular basis as a testament to your willingness to act transparently."
