Committee member Jackie Ward told the committee a question was submitted to the Oklahoma Department of Labor about whether differential testing of a backflow preventer located on a fire line requires a licensed sprinkler technician or inspector. Ward stated differential testing is not addressed in the code and that the backflow preventer does not protect the sprinkler system.
