The Aztec Municipal School District No. 2 Board of Education approved a fundraiser for Koogler Middle School — the 2026 Color Explosion Fun Run — along with community business donation requests at its March 5 meeting. Superintendent Lauren Laws presented the request; Vice President Jimmy Dusenbery moved to approve and Amanda Sutherland seconded. The roll call recorded AYE from all five members and the motion carried.
