Cole County adopts Circuit Court budget; COLA decision deferred to county-wide action

The Commission adopted the Circuit Court's budget as presented in the prior week's materials, with an explicit modification that any cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) is to be determined by the county's overall COLA decision. Commissioner Harry Otto moved to adopt the budget with that caveat and specifically noted that no additional monies would be provided for a proposed 1% increase for two years; Commissioner Jeff Hoelscher seconded and the motion passed by recorded unanimous vote.
