Representatives from the Housing Solutions Task Force told the Selectboard that Putney's housing stock is aging, construction has lagged, and demographic shifts (more seniors and single-person households) are increasing pressure for smaller, accessible units. Burt Tepfer said a range of local tools could help, including a town revolving loan fund, tax stabilization or abatements to encourage development, extending water and sewer, and new road construction where needed.
