Committee members urged moving toward a coordinated master plan and a refreshed open‑space and recreation plan to guide park investments and maintain eligibility for state grant programs. Several speakers noted that the open‑space and recreation plan is a separate, more detailed document than a general master plan and that an updated plan is needed before applying for some state conservation and recreation grants.
