The full story
The Board reviewed Planning and Zoning Commission findings and took action on two special-use applications. For Special Use Permit No. 264 (Branson) — a proposed dry recreational-vehicle campground near the Sand Dunes — Commissioner Nate Marvin presented the commission's recommendation to deny, citing Washington County Code Sections 5-2-1 and 5-16-2 (which require electrical hookups, water and sanitary facilities for RV parks). Commissioner Gordon Wilkerson read supplemental legal bases from Idaho Code Section 67-6512 (limits on special use permits) and Idaho Code Section 67-6535 (requirement to connect facts to decisions). The Board denied the application 3-0 but noted the denial applied to the application as presented and that the applicant may reapply with a compliant plan.
