The council voted to appoint Dan R. Lewis to the Industrial Development Authority to fill an unexpired four‑year term beginning immediately and expiring on Oct. 28, 2029. The motion to appoint was made during the closed session portion of the Sept. 8 meeting, moved by the mayor and seconded by the chair; the council approved the appointment by voice vote.
