Library reports strong spring turnout, summer reading kickoff June 5 and two interns hired
Library director Jen reported robust April usage, more than $5,000 in sponsorships for summer reading, 225 children already registered and the hiring of two local interns to support summer hours and programming.

The library reported strong engagement: director Jen told the council that April saw nearly 1,800 visits, 3,600 checkouts and 49 programs, and that the library has more than 30 sponsors for the summer reading program that together total just over $5,000 in support. "Our kickoff is Thursday, June 5 at 6PM at Nelson Park," Jen said, and staff will use interns to cover summer service hours following a staff departure.
