Evergreen Elementary construction "moving along extraordinarily well," presenter says

A presenter updating the board on Evergreen Elementary said the construction is progressing and several milestones are complete, including footings and early prefabrication. "The project is moving along extraordinarily well," the presenter said, and trustees were told three contract amendments have been executed and GMP 3 will be brought forward at the next board meeting to encompass the entire project budget.

The presenter reviewed schedule milestones: foundations and formwork in place, 90% construction documents due Oct. 19 and 100% CDs expected mid‑to‑late December. Trustees asked about entrance design and roofing; the presenter confirmed the front entrance and courtyard concept are largely finalized at the 60% design development stage. Board members and staff emphasized commissioning before occupancy and noted the July timeline leaves little float, so the team is monitoring weather and long‑lead procurement to reduce schedule risk.
