Board advances gatehouse renovation plans; counsel review next step for sealed bids
The district engineer said the application to the Village of Estero has been submitted and draft bid documents were forwarded to district counsel. Once counsel signs off, staff will advertise for sealed bids and set a submission deadline; the board discussed value engineering, aesthetics and paver and gate replacements.

Charlie Krebs, the district engineer, updated the Board on the Pelican Sound gatehouse renovation project, saying the application has been sent to the Village of Estero and that Bowman Incorporated issued checks. Draft bid-document language was sent to District Counsel and the District Manager; upon counsel approval the District will prepare a public advertisement seeking sealed bids, provide packages to potential bidders, and set a submission deadline.
