Randolph County commissioners unanimously approved retirement incentive receptions of up to $500 each for Randy Cosper (Aug. 27) and Donnie Knight (Aug. 28), and the packet includes Donnie Knight's retirement notice effective Aug. 31, 2026.

The Randolph County Commission voted unanimously to approve retirement incentive program budgets of up to $500 for two county employees. Commissioner Lorenzo Foster moved to approve the budget for Randy Cosper for Aug. 27, 2026; Commissioner Derek Farr seconded and the motion passed with all commissioners voting in favor. A separate motion to approve a similar $500 reception for Donnie Knight on Aug. 28, 2026 was moved by Commissioner Derek Farr, seconded by Commissioner Chris Lunsford, and also passed unanimously.
