Board renames highway committee and creates 'Facilities Department'
Juneau County supervisors approved Ordinance 26-04 to rename the Highway and Public Works Committee to the 'Highway, Public Works & Facilities Committee' and to rename Buildings & Grounds-Maintenance Department to the Facilities Department. The motion passed unanimously.

The Juneau County Board of Supervisors voted to adopt Ordinance 26-04 on May 19, 2026, renaming the Highway and Public Works Committee to the "Highway, Public Works & Facilities Committee" and changing the Buildings & Grounds-Maintenance Department name to the Facilities Department. Supervisor K. Strompolis moved for adoption and Supervisor J. Ard seconded; the motion passed 21–0.
