County staff told the Appropriations Committee that fixed-guideway sales-tax revenue projections changed from earlier estimates and that 2026 revenues will be materially different than originally forecast. Staff cited prior collections of "$1,680,000" in 2025 and described a revised 2026 revenue picture that supports increasing the county's fixed guideway estimate and correcting the intended split between public safety and transportation.
