On Sept. 9, 2025, the Cleburne County Commission at the Mountain Center approved Resolution #5591 to adopt specific FY26 budget adjustments, including a $20,000 increase to Maintenance Department line 239 and reductions across three sheriff department lines. The motion was made by Commissioner Terry Hendrix and seconded by Commissioner Emmett Owen; the minutes record that Commissioners Laura Cobb and Mark Truett supported the motion and that there was no recorded opposition.
