At the start of public participation on Aug. 11, resident Jill Carrick Aburu addressed the Wasilla Planning Commission to thank staff and commissioners for follow‑up on code‑compliance issues in her subdivision. “The 3 properties that have been notified are making it looks like they're making some improvements,” she said, asking that municipal code be enforced to protect homeowners.
