A resident urged St. Louis County commissioners to impose a two‑year moratorium on the construction of data centers countywide, saying nondisclosure agreements signed with Mortensen prevented public oversight of negotiations and community concerns. "I am speaking today to ask you to consider ordering a 2 year moratorium on the construction of data centers in Saint Louis County," the commenter said during public comment.
