The Greene County Commission approved an amendment to the Solid Waste Fund (Fund 116) budget on Nov. 17 to allow the purchase of one front loader and two day‑cab trucks. The appropriation — up to $746,200 — will be funded from the Solid Waste Fund's unassigned fund balance. The county also recognized approximately $44,000 in proceeds from sale of surplus equipment and re‑appropriated those proceeds to help offset replacement costs.
