Commissioners back Pipestone's Phase 4 trail grant application
The board agreed to sponsor the City of Pipestone's application for a phase 4 trail grant—intended to complete a roughly square loop—after discussing alignment questions where a recent Safe Routes sidewalk segment may or may not match trail width requirements.

A commissioner asked the board to support the City of Pipestone's application for a grant to complete Phase 4 of the local trail network; the request asked the county to act as sponsor as it had for prior phases. "1st up for me today, the city of Pipestone is looking at applying for a flat grant, for phase 4 of the what we call the ambulance trail system," the commissioner said when describing the proposal.
