Regional planning commission seeks modest county support and highlights small-business lending
The West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission presented its 2025 annual report, requested approximately $35,000 from Barron County for 2027, and described the Regional Business Fund's loan activity, saying the fund has helped about 195 local businesses with nearly $9 million in financing and retained about 560 jobs.

Susan Badke, executive director of the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, introduced the RPC and its seven-county service area and said the RPC provides technical assistance and planning services that help counties qualify for federal and state grants. "I'm Susan Badke, and I'm the executive director with the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission," she told the board and asked supervisors to consult the packet for the RPC's 2025 annual report.
