Representatives of Foundry Middlesex appealed to the board for help finding a larger facility to support an expanding after-school program that offers tutoring, life skills, music and family events. The presenter said the nonprofit currently serves about 21 students three days a week and aims to add food-preparation programming, requiring a kitchen and larger indoor and outdoor activity spaces.
