Board approves direction to support $1.8M amendment for Brookfield Square redevelopment

After developers detailed a revised plan for the former Boston Store parcel, the board authorized Cheryl Mills to vote in favor of a TID 9 amendment that adds roughly $1.8M for infrastructure and site improvements tied to a public market and mixed-use redevelopment.

Developers presented an amendment to TID 9 for the Brookfield Square redevelopment, describing a multi-component plan that includes a medical office, a 120,000-square-foot experiential retailer, a multi-tenant retail building, and a proposed Brookfield public market to be owned by Visit Brookfield. The developer requested an additional roughly $1.875 million (added to previously approved funds) to cover expanded infrastructure, soil remediation and site improvements; presenters said the plan does not extend the TID life.
