After extended discussion about mistrust and program limits, the board approved a motion (moved by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Board Member James) to permit up to $20,000 for a single heirs-property case while maintaining the three-year deferred-loan lien; the motion passed unanimously and staff will include budget language in the FY2027 proposal.
