Residents urge more transparency, propose housing task force and resource fair
During public comment residents called for earlier engagement and greater transparency in city decision-making; a district resident announced a renter resource fair Sept. 30 and urged a housing task force to address maintenance and eviction concerns.

Several residents used the public comment period at the Sept. 9 Mableton council meeting to ask for greater transparency and more proactive housing supports. Michael Murphy, who said he has lived in Mableton 43 years, told councilors "we just wanna be heard" and urged officials to involve constituents earlier in decision processes rather than after decisions are made.
