Scott Johnson told the board that school-operating requests remain a significant portion of the county's general-fund budget and that the FY2027 operating request represents a 6% increase. "For FY '27, the proposed school funding operating request represents a 6% increase over the current year for a total of $1,500,000 increase," Johnson said during the presentation.
