Project Backpack distributes over 1,400 backpacks; partners thanked
Forney ISD and the Forney Education Foundation reported distributing more than 1,400 backpacks and expecting to exceed 2,000 students supported this year; district recognized sponsors including Costco, HEB and local churches.

Justin Eatherly of the Forney Education Foundation updated trustees on Project Backpack and thanked community partners who supported the back-to-school rally. "This year, Project Backpack was part of the back to school rally ... we were able to distribute over 1,400 backpacks and school supplies to Forney ISD students," Eatherly said.
