The L'Anse Township Board voted on Aug. 12 to adopt resolution 8-12-26B, placing a moratorium on cryptocurrency mining and hyperscale data center operations in the township. Trustee Shelley Soli moved to adopt the ordinance and Treasurer Sarah Solberg seconded; the board recorded the vote as “all in favor, motion carried.”
