School finance staff told the Jefferson County School Board the district closed June with favorable revenues and conservative spending, reporting a current unassigned fund balance of roughly $10,000,000 and an available fund balance after entries of about $10,200,000. The finance presenter credited higher-than-expected local option sales tax and disciplined departmental spending for the result.
