Vice Chairman Freddy Howell presented a resolution calling for a public hearing on a proposed moratorium ordinance to regulate data centers, data processing facilities and cryptocurrency mining. The board voted 4–3 to approve the resolution and schedule a public hearing. The roll call recorded Yes votes from Freddy Howell, Sue Leggett, J. Wayne Outlaw and Gwen Wilkins and No votes from Marvin C. Arrington, Fred Belfield Jr. and Robbie B. Davis.
