Michael Looney, vice president of economic development with the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, updated the board Sept. 9 on four active recruitment targets: Project Heavy Metal (a photovoltaic panel recycling facility planned at roughly 40,000 square feet), Project Generator (a metal products manufacturer), Project Northeast Corridor (a multiyear, mixed‑use development with industrial components), and Project Transform (a manufacturing site selection likely between 20,000 and 50,000 square feet).
