Local group presents Ten Commandments copies to Van ISD board
A community member donated copies of the Ten Commandments and urged the board to post them in classrooms under recent state law; presenter cited SB10 as the enabling bill and said the county will distribute copies to schools.

Frank Gay addressed the board during the public-comment portion to announce that his group had prepared and would distribute copies of the Ten Commandments for schools in the county. He told the board the measure had legislative backing and referenced the bill by its shorthand: "we're here to present the 10 commandments, and I'll hand you the bill that was passed, and it happened to be s b 10 for the 10 commandments."
