The board voted unanimously to approve a marketing sponsorship for Leadership Southwest not to exceed $2,500 at its Sept. 9 meeting. Staff and a Leadership Southwest representative described two sponsorship options: a comedy night fundraiser and the 'Human Connection' conference (planned Oct. 8 in Duncanville). Staff recommended approval and suggested the board could split the $2,500 between events to balance outreach and scholarship support.
