Planning Commission approves boundary adjustment for 600 S parcel

The River Heights Planning Commission voted to approve a boundary adjustment for a parcel on 600 South owned by Derek Carlsen.

Carlsen told the commission he intended to sell off two parcels of a long lot to adjacent owners identified in the application as the Grahams and the Gardners and that the remaining parcel with the house would continue to meet zone requirements. "I hadn't seen any problems, looking at the parcel plat," Commissioner Keenan Ryan said, and noted he expected the title company to confirm utility easements.

Commissioners discussed administrative changes that would allow simple boundary adjustments to be handled by the zoning administrator rather than brought to the commission. Commissioner Anna Lisa Davidson moved to approve the boundary adjustment; Commissioner Troy Wakefield seconded. The motion carried with Commissioners Noel Cooley, Davidson, Morgan McKeown, Keenan Ryan and Troy Wakefield voting in favor; no one opposed.

The commission did not list any conditions on the approval beyond the standard plat and title work. The applicant's project materials and the plat map are part of the city's public record for the file.
