Commissioners unanimously back county submissions for state dredging grant
After a briefing on a short-deadline state grant round for dredging and equipment, commissioners voted unanimously to support county grant applications and to provide letters of support; staff warned allocations were not yet fixed and the round covers FY27–FY28 projects.

Ken Cirillo briefed the board on a state grant round for mechanical dredging and dredging equipment with a close date the following Thursday, telling commissioners the timeline is short and funds allocated by the state have not yet been defined. "There's a current grant that ends next Thursday at midnight, and this is a round that just kinda popped up about 6 weeks ago," he said.
