Developer to present Evolution Solar workforce training and housing plans to planning commission

Representatives from Knoebelsdorf Enterprises asked the public to attend the planning commission meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 9, where they will present Evolution Solar, a skilled-trades academy workforce-development program proposed for a property off Lewis Avenue. Lindsey Myers, chief of staff at Knoebelsdorf Enterprises, said the presentation will include program structure, application and interview processes for applicants, how a boarding house or dormitory would function compared with local motel housing, and details about funding sources and timelines. "We understand there were concerns circulating in the community," Myers said, and she promised to present a timeline of meetings and approvals leading to the special-use submission.
