Fleming County approves ABC-fund support for sheriff's taser purchase pending documentation
The Fiscal Court approved using ABC funds for a five-year taser purchase totaling $47,135.97, conditional on verification of state contract pricing and previously requested ABC documentation being on file with the county treasurer.

During the Aug. 8 meeting, the Fleming County Sheriff requested the use of ABC funds to purchase tasers. County Treasurer Miranda Utterback and County Attorney Monica Hill asked the sheriff to verify state contract pricing or the purchase would require public bidding; the court also required that previously requested documentation regarding prior ABC fund usage be on file before additional ABC funds would be released.
