Council awards $45,081.52 for park shade structures, approves CIP adjustment

Director of Public Works Rick Lance presented a CIP item to add a fourth shade structure—replacing damaged dog-park structures after a tornado—and to install three additional shades in parks identified in the Playbook 2030 master plan. Lance said the city had budgeted $40,000 but the low bid from Cunningham Recreation totaled $45,081.52; staff expects to cover the overage through savings in other park CIP items.
