Commission asks for fire review and public notice before deciding Broadview flag‑lot split
The Planning & Zoning Commission continued the application to split 3530 Broadview Road into five lots (four flag lots) after staff and the Village Engineer outlined layout alternatives, riparian encroachment concerns and code limits on abutting flag pole driveways. Commissioners requested Fire Department review and written notice to abutting owners before Sept. 8.

The commission continued Case No. 26‑2026 on Aug. 11 after considering two proposed lot layouts for a ~36‑acre property at 3530 Broadview Road. Applicant Sean Whittaker and co‑applicant Bo Knez presented two options: a preferred plan that groups three flag‑lot access strips at the public road, and an alternative that separates flagpoles north and south to meet Subdivision Regulation limits.
