The Tree Commission agreed to contribute matching funds to a 50/50 grant to plant new trees at Riggs Park. Staff outlined a proposal for roughly seven trees at an estimated cost of about $600 per tree (purchase plus planting) and said the grant would cover up to $1,500 if the commission provided the match.
