Council hears request for $10,000 to launch regional COAD
Christine Kelly of the Community Foundation of Nevada County asked the Grass Valley City Council to direct $10,000 from Measure B to help launch a Western Nevada County COAD to coordinate evacuation planning, trusted communications and recovery; council asked staff to review Measure B alignment and funding options.

Christine Kelly, CEO of the Community Foundation of Nevada County, asked the Grass Valley City Council to consider a $10,000 contribution from Measure B to launch a Western Nevada County Community Organizations Active in Disaster, or COAD. "We respectfully ask that the council direct staff to allocate 10,000 from measure b funds for Western Nevada County COAD implementation and to participate as a founding partner in the winter regional convening," Kelly said.
