Board approves temporary reallocation to fund correction technicians after judgeorder change

The Multnomah County Board on Thursday approved a budget modification that shifts funding from one parole-and-probation officer to provide six months of pay for 2.5 corrections technicians in the county's custody and release services program. DCJ Director Denise Pena and Adult Services Division Director Tyra Hubbard told commissioners the change responds to a revised presiding judge's order dated July 13, 2026 that maintained county responsibility for administering the release order.
