The committee approved an addendum to the courthouse bench project to replace fixed, bolted gallery benches in two courtrooms with movable gallery seating that better accommodates wheelchairs and mobility devices. Kevin Harris introduced the item and Jason Mathis, representing the judiciary, described the benches as worn and not matching building aesthetics; he said production was already underway and replacing the bolted benches will allow consistent look and improved functionality.
