Ramsey County HR staff said the county applies its stated values—leadership, people, integrity, community and equity—directly to hiring. Tracy Sherbert, HR supervisor, said equity appears in hiring when recruiters consider a candidate’s unique skills and lived experience in addition to formal qualifications.
