Montgomery County outlines $5.4 million plan to reconfigure Solid Waste transfer entryway

Montgomery County officials presented an updated plan to rework the entry and traffic flow at the county Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Center, reducing the opinion of probable construction cost to roughly $5.4 million as of April 2026. The board heard the report from Matt Hilliard, Director of Environmental Services, who outlined both operational fixes already in place and the capital project needed to address persistent queuing and safety issues.
