Local courts and prosecutor file 2027 budgets; several request wage increases and stipend adjustments

Prosecuting Attorney Colin Andrews presented the Prosecutor’s general fund budget of $749,250 and asked the council to approve an increase in annual stipends for two employees from $750 to $2,500 for additional duties. Judge Andrew Antrim presented a Superior Court request of $214,774 with a 5% wage request, while Judge Kent Kiracofe presented a Circuit Court general fund request of $941,577 and multiple specialized fund requests; Kiracofe asked for a 3% wage increase and additional increases for the Circuit Court secretary and bailiff linked to expanded job descriptions.
