During the April 10 meeting Commissioner Harold Collins accepted a series of procurement items and contract actions. He announced an agreement with Moore's Lawn Service to maintain 17 county-owned properties for the current mowing season "in the amount of $970 every two weeks," noting Moore's was the low bidder among 15 quotes. Collins also accepted an agreement with Sheets Structural Consulting Inc. for limited structural engineering services on the Stivey Cove Road bridge replacement (a quoted $4,250 structural scope), with Carter Engineering Consultants to serve as civil engineer.
