Comanche County Emergency Management Director Clint Langford asked the Facilities Authority to decline the FY2025 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) award for the Training or Exercises — Community Preparedness Education & Training project. Langford explained changes to the grant and told the board, "I wrote the grant for this year for educational, training and exercises but since we have potential budget cuts, I feel we would not be able to do this grant." The board voted unanimously to decline the award and approved the declination letter and state-local agreement language as presented.
